Privacy policy

If you choose current location, Weatherkind asks iOS for When In Use location access. It does not request Always access or monitor your location continuously.

Weather forecasts are requested from Apple Weather using WeatherKit. Apple receives the location needed to service the forecast request. Apple states that WeatherKit location information is not associated with personally identifiable information and is not tracked between requests.

If you search for a town or postcode, the words you type are sent to Apple Maps through MapKit so that Apple can return matching places. Poyzer Tech Limited does not receive or retain the search text or results.

Weatherkind asks for your explicit choice before enabling beta diagnostics. The choice is off by default, declining does not limit the app, and you can change it at any time in Settings.

If enabled, we collect named app actions, screens visited, categorical success or failure information, and masked snapshots of the Weatherkind interface. PostHog assigns a random installation identifier so events from one installation can be understood as a session. We do not connect that identifier to your name, email address, TestFlight invitation, or feedback.

Diagnostics do not include your location, town or postcode, coordinates, raw weather values, free text, notification content, or exact planned-activity routine. Replay is configured to mask all text and images, with location views explicitly masked as an additional safeguard.

Poyzer Tech Limited is the controller. PostHog is our processor and receives beta diagnostics through its EU-hosted service. Session replays automatically expire after 30 days. Product events are kept only for the beta research period and deleted from PostHog when that analysis closes.

We do not sell Weatherkind data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Apple processes weather and place requests as described above. PostHog processes only the optional beta diagnostics described in this policy.

You can withdraw from beta diagnostics in Weatherkind Settings. This stops new collection. You may also contact us to ask about access, deletion, restriction, or other applicable data-protection rights. Because diagnostics are not linked to your name, email, or TestFlight invitation, tell us anything you can about the affected installation and dates so we can assess whether the records can be located.
